Issues
-
Protect Forsyth StudentsList Item 1
Greg will fight to ensure Forsyth County has the state funding it needs, when it needs it, to fund new school construction to keep class sizes small and reduce the impact of over crowding.
-
Oppose All Tax IncreasesList Item 2
Greg will fight any attempt to raise taxes in the State Senate. Georgia's income tax is already the highest in the Southeast, and Georgia's budget has grown 40% in the past decade. Government is overfed as it is. And Greg knows that taxpayers are better qualified to spend their hard-earned dollars than the government. Greg will work with other conservatives to root out waste and fraud from the state budget to keep our fiscal house in order.
-
Unleash Economic Development in Forsyth County and GeorgiaList Item 4
Greg will be laser-focused on strengthening economic development in Forsyth County to keep property taxes low and attract high income jobs. More government does not create jobs, entrepreneurs and innovators do. Greg will get government out of the way to make it easier to start and operate a business by cutting bureaucratic red tape and government regulations. And he will make sure we invest in our public schools to make sure our students are getting the 21st century education they need to meet the demands of today's job market.
-
Fix Our Roads & Oppose Toll Lanes In Forsyth
In the State Senate, Greg will work to secure funding to accelerate state road expansion on GA 400, Post Road, Highway 9, and other high traffic areas. Forsyth has paid more to widen GA 400 than any other municipality, yet the plan is to make the 4th lane a toll lane. Forsyth has paid enough for GA 400 and Greg will fight the plan to add toll lanes to GA 400 in Forsyth.
-
Impose Term Limits for All Elected Officials
Greg isn’t running for office because he needs a job. Career politicians have made a mess of things, and Greg doesn’t plan to become one. That’s why he has pledged to serve only 8 years in the Senate if elected and will support term limits legislation on all elected officials.
-
Support Impact Fees for Schools
Taxes on a $300k home in Forsyth have increased 17% in eight years, not accounting for any increases in appraised value. Right now, all taxpayers are subsidizing the infrastructure expansion required by rapid, uncontrolled development. We must ease the burden on homeowners by implementing impact fees on new developments causing overcrowding of our roads and schools.
-
Defend Our Constitutional RightsList Item 3
Greg is a conservative who understands the right to keep and bear arms means just that. He will fight all liberal attempts that attempt to chip away at our 2nd Amendment rights. And he will fight back against the federal overreach that has become all to common from our so-called leaders in Washington D.C.
-
Fight for Religious Liberty
Everyone should have the right to practice their religious beliefs without fear of retaliation. As a man of faith and unapologetic conservative, Greg supports RFRA legislation and will never back down from fighting for your right to exercise your religious beliefs.
-
Never Allow Sanctuary Cities in Georgia
Greg will fight to ensure Georgia continues to enforce federal immigration laws and upholds its ban on sanctuary cities.
